We hope you had a wonderful 2018. With the new year soon upon us, we thought we would share with you, three tips on how to plan for a successful 2019!
1) Reflect on the positives and negatives of 2018
When planning for the new year, it is important to look back on the good and the bad. You should be appreciative of the good that has happened in your life. You should also reflect on things that did not go so well, in order to plan to avoid/improve those things.
2) What do you want to improve on next year?
When creating goals for the new year, a good place to start is to look at your weaknesses and mistakes. What weaknesses do you have that you want to improve on? What mistakes do you want to avoid? What goals did you fail this year but want to accomplish next year? Thinking of these things will help your personal development & populate your goal list.
3) Where do you want to be 5 years from now?
Thinking about where you want to be 5 years from now can be very important when you are creating your plan for 2019. Thinking far ahead allows you to then think about what things you need to do next year to get yourself closer to your long-term goals. Don't be afraid of how grand your long-term goals are, the grander the better. Every small step you begin to take now, will get you closer to those dreams.
